I took a good swim. It rained
a little at noon and up to
two oclock then I went back on the ditch for the rest of the afternoon. Papa and I set the net at night

Too hot to sleep. I woke at 4. Gave up at 5. Left in search of cooler air. In the flat-white light of daybreak, pigeons loitered in intersections and gathered en masse in the grocery store parking lot. I bought cream for my coffee, yogurt and pre-cut melon chunks for the boys' breakfast.
