Drove down around the bottom of the lake and up into Michigan to pick up Gus. The place where he was staying had a guard at the gate and an office where guests checked in to receive visitor's passes. The original buildings were built from scrap from the Chicago World's Fair. Small units under tall trees. Everyone had tables and chairs out front. We sat in the shade and played a round of canasta. There was a pool with a lifeguard, a playground, ping pong tables and a zig-zag stair leading down to a clean hot stretch of beach.
