Hot and gray and thundery. Intermittent down-pours. Rain came down so sudden and hard midafternoon, the yard filled with water till it was rushing down the back stairs to the basement. We built dams with window boxes and kitchen tiles. Did some code cleaning. Took Gus school shopping.
