I poisoned a quart of wheat
and put it in the potatoe
patch for the gophers
Papa dug some potatoes
and mamma washed
this morning. I tooke
the team and mower out
in the swamp and got
boged down. Papa and I hauled in
two loads of wood in evening

Saw a show about Osama Bin Laden, subtitled "Understanding the Enemy". I resent the widespread use of the lingo of war. It feels manipulative. Priming us all to tow the line. The show indicated that these terrorists do not act in protest or to gain any end other than the destruction of America which they see as an evil power. That they are in fact offended by our very being. This is a new perspective for me. And grim. I do not wholly trust it because of the show's obvious war lingo. I suspect propaganda. I think, this is what the powers-that-be want me to think. What is true?
