I took up a turkey and
mail to Parrys and got
some coffee and Wilfreds 22
in the morning then I
went over on the ditch and
located a log chain. In
the afternoon we butchered
a calf. It looked verry
stormy.

Stormy, grey and wet. I had a meeting out in Oak Brook. Jenny drove.  What with the rain and the big trucks, visibilty was very poor. I spent most of the drive on the phone to the office, which made me feel like Marian and maybe I was doing alright, but it made Jenny crazy which made me feel like maybe I had it all wrong. At home, Gus lay on the couch studying vocabulary: alacrity and pariah and intrepid.
