I held my own in the face of derision. I stood my ground and got what I was after, but the cost was high. In the end I am worn down. I have lost heart. I cancelled our plane tickets though. That is a great relief. I begin to believe that in just a few days I will be on the road with my family. There is nothing that pleases me more. I hold to that.
