More snow overnight. Will surfed the web for road reports. No passes closed. Chains required on commercial vehicles on Vail and Loveland. We packed in record time. Cleaned the bathrooms but little else. Mom packed us turkey sandwiches for the road. The drive down the hill was treacherous, slick and slippery. Fishtailing over the edge all too conceivable. Julia and all the dogs and boys opted to walk. Will, Watt and I did the driving. Tucker was in tears when he reached the bottom. His boots kept falling off so he carried them and made his way down through the snow in his socks. Drove through to North Platte before giving in to the wind and rain and stopping for the night.
